Veterinarian
Dr. Raj Garhwal
Dr. Raj’s journey into veterinary medicine began on a small farm in India, where he developed a deep connection with animals from an early age. Before pursuing his Doctorate at Virginia Tech’s Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, he had an extensive background as an engineer (Computer and Electrical Engineering from University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada)—an experience that has greatly influenced his approach to modern veterinary care. At Pacific Paws, Dr. Raj has leveraged his technical expertise to bring a plethora of technological advancements, ensuring top-quality medicine and seamless client communication.
His innovative mindset has helped integrate cutting-edge tools such as immediate lab result access via pet portals, easy online booking, and advanced diagnostic technology, streamlining care for both pets and their owners. Dr. Raj’s commitment to efficiency and accessibility means that Pacific Paws clients receive clear, informative updates and a smooth, stress-free veterinary experience. He understands that outside of brief important moments at the clinic, pets will spend the majority of their time with their loved ones – so it is them who need to be on board about their pets’ health to allow each individual animal a best outcome.
While establishing better client communication as a foundational building block for PacificPaws, Dr. Raj has extensive medical and surgical experience at this time with interests in Surgery, Dentistry, and Emergency medicine.
Outside of work, Dr. Raj enjoys spending time with his wife, Arushi, and their sons, Veer & Viraj. Whether exploring the outdoors, visiting the zoo, or simply enjoying time with animals, he values every opportunity to share his passion for animals with his family.🐾
Veterinarian
Dr. Hersh Garhwal
Dr. Hersh’s passion for animals began at a young age, growing up alongside farm animals and household pets. His love for veterinary medicine was shaped not only by his early experiences but also by his dedication to improving pet health through a proactive approach. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Midwestern University, following a Biomedical Science degree from the University of Washington. At Midwestern, he gained extensive hands-on experience, performing an impressive number of surgeries early in his training. While surgery and dentistry remain integral to his practice, Dr. Hersh strongly believes that preventative medicine plays a crucial role in lifelong pet health.
At Pacific Paws, Dr. Hersh focuses on nutrition, lifestyle changes, and early intervention to prevent disease before it starts. He advocates for fresh, species-appropriate diets and works with pet owners to create tailored health plans that go beyond traditional treatments. His approach integrates modern technology, ensuring clients have seamless access to lab results, easy online booking, and clear, informative guidance on their pet’s well-being. By combining advanced veterinary care with a focus on prevention, Dr. Hersh is dedicated to keeping pets healthier for longer.
Outside of work, Dr. Hersh enjoys exploring the outdoors, hiking with his husky, riding his motorcycle, and producing house music. He has a deep appreciation for fitness and wellness, and one day, he hopes to expand his love for animals by owning horses and other farm animals.

Dr. Singh, DVM
Dr. Singh joined Pacific Paws in early 2024, bringing extensive experience and a deep passion for veterinary medicine. Originally from India, he earned his veterinary degree nearly a decade ago before moving to the United States to further his education and career. He then completed his certification and internship at Oklahoma State University. His interests lie in emergency care, surgery, and internal medicine. Dr. Singh is dedicated to delivering exceptional care and has been instrumental in establishing Pacific Paws’ urgent care and specialty services.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Singh is a devoted animal lover, sharing his home with a variety of pets, including cows and horses, which reflect his lifelong bond with animals. He values spending quality time with his wife and two beautiful daughters, often enjoying outdoor adventures and family activities. Dr. Singh’s compassionate nature and expert skills make him an invaluable part of the Pacific Paws team, ensuring every patient receives the highest level of care.
