In House Laboratory
Pacific Paws is equipped with an in-house Laboratory. Bloodwork can be analyzed on-site with results obtained quickly so that we can immediately respond to your pet’s medical needs. Bloodwork is crucial to knowing what is going on inside of your pet’s body, especially when they may not be feeling so great.
Our in-house laboratory helps us keep on top of your pet’s internal organ function, red and white blood cell levels, and overall well-being, from the inside out. Pacific Paws is able to run the following tests in-house:
- Complete Blood Counts (CBC)
- Comprehensive Chemistry Panels (proteins, electrolytes)
- Kidney and Liver Profiles
- Blood Clotting Profiles
- Blood Gas
- Viral Screening (FeLV/FIV, Parvovirus)
- Fecal Testing
- Urinalysis
- Digital Xrays
- Ultrasound
The Benefits for Your Beloved Pet
Routine care for pets offers numerous benefits, ensuring their health, happiness, and longevity. Here are five key benefits:
- Preventative Healthcare: Regular veterinary check-ups allow for the early detection of potential health issues. Vaccinations, parasite control, and dental care provided during routine visits help prevent diseases and infections, saving both money and anguish in the long run.
- Behavioral Support: Consistent care and training sessions contribute to a well-behaved and socially adjusted pet. Regular exercise and mental stimulation provided through routine activities enhance their overall well-being, reducing the risk of behavioral problems such as anxiety or aggression.
- Bonding and Socialization: Routine care activities, such as grooming, feeding, and playtime, foster a strong bond between pets and their owners. Regular socialization with other animals and humans also helps pets develop positive relationships and confidence in various environments.
- Early Intervention for Health Issues: Regular grooming sessions provide an opportunity to examine your pet's skin, coat, ears, and nails for any signs of abnormalities or health concerns. Detecting issues early allows for prompt treatment, improving the chances of successful recovery and minimizing discomfort for the pet.
- Longevity and Quality of Life: A consistent routine that includes proper nutrition, exercise, mental stimulation, and healthcare significantly contributes to a pet's longevity and overall quality of life. Regular care ensures that pets remain physically fit, mentally stimulated, and emotionally content, leading to a happier and healthier life.
